Thought I would try a complex scene setting. In this piece, there are 6 layers: The background with 3 separate levels of forest, the middle ground with 2 layers - the hero and the two ogres, and the foreground consisting of tree branches. Each layer had its own lighting using standard Poser lighting. The characters were shot using a focal length setting of 500 mm. Post work consisted of using standard light filters in Photoshop on each layer, and then the Toon Actions filter on each layer. All layers were finally combined for the composite art. I really liked the idea of the contrasting physical size of the ogres and the human. I also liked how using these layers allowed me to construct a complex scene with much better control of the outcome. However, as always, your comments are deeply appreciated.
