Description

Something really very simple, no big thoughts behind, just pure fun. Candle made by me in Zbrush, textured in Vue. Thanks for watching. EDIT: after JOELGLAINE's comment, I changed the bump map to displacement map. I think it's better. Thanks!

Poser eyes ruin the scene. :( It's a great piece of work except for four thoings. Both pupils and both irises look wrong. The pupils have wrong reflections instead of reflecting the candle-flame. Irises were harder to pin down, but they have no depth. At that distance, the irises should have a certain bump level or displacement to give a more 3d quality. A higher level of that, and an increased specular level, will make them sparkle like jewels....like real living eyes! I'd give it 9 out of ten, but ten IS within reach with just a couple of fixes! Fantastic work! The candle is SPECTACULAR! Looks better than some REAL candles I've burned!! LOLOLOLOLOLOL
