Description

I have no idea what to say about this. I don't watch TV, so this makes no sense to me. It seems excessive. Maybe I'm the only person in the world who thinks this is weird. What do you think?

I understand it... one dish is so lonley... I hear there are social creatures, so they bought a companion for it. But then, they really grew tired of each other's company all the time so they met another couple and now hang out together every day except Sunday when the other couple goes to her mother's for Sunday dinner... :-)

Seems silly to me, too, but in their defense, it looks like two are pointed in one direction, and two are pointed in another. I wonder if it's two antennas each for two houses. I wonder if they're paying two (or four) Dish TV subscriptions.

Well, I think I'm with you there........my tv is mumbling away in another room right now, talking to itself as usual! I don't have one of these pets, but I think PJ mught be right, about their sociability! By the way, did you folks know that you can get HDTV on many channels with rabbit ears.(regular old antennae, and for FREE, but no fancy store will tell you that!) no special cables or boxes needed.........the satellites beam it above us, depending on where we live! chuckle, chuckle....

I'm sure the story is very interesting. I've noticed how they're disguising cell phone towers as trees these days. This could be a new cottage industry for dish cosmetics.

They should paint Mickey and Minnie's faces on the fence, and paint the dishes black! Wait, they will be watching TV, so you should paint it for them! ;) Todd

What a funny pic and story! There should be a genre for social comment!! Maybe when I become senile and housebound we'll get one (or a few!).

i know that if you have dish for the internet you need a dish one for tv and one for the internet. the other two I would not know. I do know it would cost up front for the internet around $600 to get it install and about $59 amonth. I see two the all pointing in diff ways so that tell me each one is on a diff staterlite so if all the have is tv then they got more channels than most people have in all languages

It's a breeding center for dishes, they planted two and now they have multiplied, if you go back next week there might be more. I have one dish only and thats just to keep her indoors happy whilst I sit at the computer. Great shot Tara, keeps us informed anyhow. Bravo!!!!!

You don't watch TV? Blasphemy!!! Back to the Middle Ages with you! How about a horse and carriage, a wood stove, kerosene lamps and/or a telephone party line? I have only rabbit ears for the TV, no cable or satellite, but I definitely have to have TV just for Saturday college football, some basketball, my favorite shows 24 and Desperate Housewives. And my tons of movie DVDs. Terrific clarity in this nteresting shot of the satellite dishes, just doing their thing.
