Thanks everyone. What I find a bit hard to adjust for is that the images, as they show up on the site, are darker than my original image posted. In this case there is more colour and detail in the foreground shrubbery in my picture on file, than is shown in the uploaded image. You'd think my monitor would read the image the same so I'm not sure what to do about it. If I lighten the image beyond what looks right to me on my file, just to compensate for this phenomena, what will you see individually on your monitors?...an overly de-saturated, lightly contrasted final product, or one that is true to my original shot?

This is a pretty shot never the less...I had a similar situation as yours in that everything I saw in the monitor was too light when printed out or sent to someone...the monitor was the problem and it would not adjust out.. was an older model and not a flat screen one..
