Description

I took this shot about 2 hours ago in the parking lot of my local store. By the time I got home though, I had a foot of snow in my own driveway! I hope you enjoy the way they decorate their light-poles. I do! Anyway, home safely now, and I have just pulled out my emergency box of kerosene lamp, candles, matches.........after supper, I'll fill up my indoor woodbox.......if anything looks like an upcoming power failure, this sure does! Enjoy, and don't eat yellow snow!

This is so pretty. I live in a part of Oregon that gets very little snow and I miss watching it fall. This morning it snowed big fluffy flakes that were so pretty ...for five minutes ...and then it was gone. Sniff. We have a lot of power outages in my part of town so I have my emergency kit ready too.

It's hard to believe Akemi didn't get any snow. It snowed down here most of the day, although I've only got about an inch of accumulation on my driveway. And thank you, Mr. Zappa, for the good advice! :) (Do you think he and Myron were friends???)

We've got about four inches here in Kenmore at the north end of Lake Washington. Looks like it is gonna go away though. Temp is rising, which means it will convert to rain.

Oh yes, I'm enamored by the falling snow, akin to spiritual orbs, in this shot, coupled with the tree and pole. Wonderful clarity, contrast and lighting in this momentous capture. And, I assume by yellow snow, you mean a sure sign of human/animal liquid waste.

A super capture of these snowdrops. A very christmassy feel to this shot.

One of the things I loved most about a snowy night was after getting home, pulling off the wet, frozen mittens and socks, and fixing the hot chocolate of mug of black coffee, lighting the fire and enjoying the warmth and smell while watching the flakes fall outside the window.
