Description

Captured in early October. Here I was concerned more with captured pattern and color rather than leaf detail. I wanted the background of tree trunks and green leaves to almost look like a painted backdrop for the orange leaves in the foreground. Minimal depth of field as done in camera. Photoshop blur seldom looks right. Plus I really hate spending too much time in postwork so I try to get as much right in camera to save myself some time due to the large volume of images I take. Imagenomic's Noiseware Pro helped get rid of any colored noise and softened the background just the tiniest bit more. I like the grainy noise my Olympus camera makes but hate the colored noise and Imagenomic's plugin lets you make your own settings to just get rid of those ugly colored specs. Marvellous and splendid colours! It's so wonderful to see this, especially when we've just been hit with a snow storm... with a warning still in effect. Looking at this beautiful image, I wish Autumn would come back... What a lovely season, and what a fantastic series of it you have captured for us! Tremendous work!
