Cool stuff, huh? I used to go to an island in the middle of Lake Erie with my folks (via the ferry) and there were so many fossils there that they were not even noticed by the locals who lived there. They cut the stone from the island for stepping stones leading to front doors, back doors and down to the beach. I had to walk on hundreds of ancient creatures to go anywhere. Being a rock house even then, I was very slow to get from point A to point B. LOL Great shot.

Excellent image! It makes scrounging around the rocks very interesting. I used to do that, too. Wish I could do it again, and find something like this. ;o)

Neat photo! It'd be interesting to learn more about the geology of that area. I know that back during part of the dinosaur age a good portion of what is now the plain-states was a shallow sea. It's always fascinating to be reminded that our world has changed alot and has been around an incredibly long time.
