Description

Book cover for "Enter Death, Stage Right". The author had a very specific and cinematic idea of what he wanted: 40+ vampires in a small alley charging towards the two main characters defending the exit, and a theatre actor's door on the side. While it worked in the novel, it was very difficult to put together a scene that worked as an image without looking overcrowded. It was difficult to reach a comproised and it took several attempts. This is the second book in the series that started with "Corpses so Lively", also in my gallery. Technical aspects: the Victorian alley was recreating using one of Stonemason's buildings, bringing it into C4D and stripping off all the modern fixtures from it, then inverting it to get a layout that would work for the cover. The clothing for one of the main characters was also put together using several different sets that were morphed in C4D to get it all to work together. The lady in the Regency dress also has a special morph created for her breasts and dress to give the "proper" regency figure shape (there's a portrait I did with it that I will be posting later to show it off properly). The ornate cross with the red stones was also modeled by me, the rest of the religious and victorian props are courtesy of TheNess. My favourite bit is the dead rat on the back :) Piles of credit: From DAZ: Stonemason's Urban Living and Victorian street props, Regency Dress, CS Operative, The Scout, Jacob Marley, Grim, MFD, 19th century clothing, April's Rievel Hair, Uzilite's Sade, M3's shoe pack, Valeria, Millenium cat, Noggin's rat, millenium beard RDNA: Country Gentleman, Infamous, TT's textures for Infamous Content Paradise: Tiny's furred cat RMP: Agent Hair 3DC: FK Designs' Divine Hairs Art Collaborations: David character (modified as the character was supposed to be heavier and older) AtlantiStyle: Basile (modified as the character was supposed to be much older) Special thanks to TheNess for letting me use his props and for general advice on all things victorian!
