Description

Egypt 1999. Egyptian decoration, when looked in detail are infinitelt varied. These two called my attention, they had similar themes, of slaughtered animals, probably an offer to the pharao, ready for the banquet. The deer in the painung has still blood gushing from his cut throath, and there are geese, wine jar and the works ... one of the legs of the animals is already cut and skinned ------ Dos representaciones de ofertas para un banquete del faraòn, animales degollados, el ciervo de abajo tiene todavìa chorros de sangre, y patos, jarras de vino y todo lo necesario para un buen asadito ... una de las patas ya està cortada y cuereada ...

Wonderful detailed craftsmanship in this closeup and to think just how old this is and how well preserved... a testament to a great era in history!

Oh so fascinating! I am not as good as I'd like to be at understanding these things but is there also cheeses, breads and fruits? The detail they created here with their picture story is amazing. The colors, still so vivid after time. The upper panel is crafted with magnificent realism including the cut of the throat and the removed limbs. How exciting to see this. You really took a great photo here that lets me look into the window of history.
