Description

hey well, this is the first time i've tried modelling human (well, comic) characters in max. they've been built from scratch by me (except for the hair). i'm still not satisfied with the way they've turned out, although they might look different once i'm done texturing. if anyone has any tips on how i can improve these models (face, body, etc) please let me know. i plan on adding environments and rigging them to use in my demo reel. cheers and thanks for looking GB

Your work is very well done... I like the style of modeling, hybrid between photorealism and toons... I'm sure that the textures will give the finishing touch to your characters. Congratulations, 5+++++!

hey! very well done! i used too love danger girl... classic comic book! i have one suggestion. bout the eyes. the crease between the eye and the brow looks a little odd. maybe lower the crease or smooth it a little! hope ya dont mind the input! Cant wait to see them textured! :D

you have a weird indentation between the eyes and brows instead of the wrinkle, or skin that partially rests on the eyelid. The view on the left, she looks like Beavis. I would push the jaw back. And the same view shows she's missing cheekbones. It looks like the cheeks are deeper into the head than the eyes. Don't know if you've checked this thread out, but it can give you ideas on how to improve your model. Or you can post your wip there and get feedback from other people. It's stephen stahlberg's body topology thread on cgtalk http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=7&t=108412&page=145&pp=15

Wow awesome work, but where JC and the eye texture and cheekbones and are you going to also model Deuce and Valerie, Major Maxim. Cause these models are awesome, great work on them. :)

hey all, i've already begun fixing all this stuf... @ divinerain, i'm looking at the link now, and i get what you're saying about her looking weird from the side, it's just that sometimes comic dimensions dont work out in 3d. i've already changed the body shape quite a bit from the original reference images. the face is the one thing that i'm still not happy about. thanks a heap :). @lethalliam, once i'm done with these 3. i'm sure i could do valerie and a couple of others, major maxim would be awesome if i could find a model sheet somewhere, i'd probably have to make my own reference files though, dunno about deuce because i'd feel like i'm modelling sean connery heheh... i wish JC would make a few more danger girl comics...
