Description

Hello! Today it is confession day. I have never realized, how a really panorama is made, so in my naivity I called my shot yesterday for a panorama. It is not. It is only a huge photo cropped to a SHAPE, I thought was called a panorama. I am sorry that I misinformed you. I didnt mean to. I hope you all can forgive a humble amateur photographer. Todays shot is made the same way. Only a cropped Photo. Thanks for your visit and for your comments. Have a lovely day. Here the weather is very lovely and sunny and not very cold for the time of the year.

this IS a panorama. if You use a wide lens and crop or make several pics and stich them together, the result is the same. with a wide-angle lens You may have more distortion but must not, it depends on the lens. especially in this case, with a far away landscape you wouldn't see any difference anyway!

Let me easy your mind a bit... Main Entry: pan·o·rama Pronunciation: ˌpa-nə-ˈra-mə, -ˈrä- Function: noun Etymology: pan- + Greek horama sight, from horan to see Date: 1796 a: an unobstructed or complete view of an area in every direction b: a comprehensive presentation of a subject c: range This is from Merriam Webster's On-line dictionary so if you are a person of any field of study or just one of the crowd not savy in Photography Idioms... you were totally correct to call that shot and all others presented in this expansive format a panorama. A panorama need not be stitched to make a view although they often are. And in the case of this one, beautifully done!

If it makes you feel any easier some people refer this type of crop as a letterbox crop, to give an panoramic view(feel) to the shot. There was no need for you to apologise, which ever way it is done, it creates a panorama. This is an excellent one. Bravo!!!!!
