Description

We've got a snow storm coming in tonight after 7pm...2 to 6 inches expected, they are calling it an Alberta Clipper from the West...LOL...Thank you Canada...smiles... Some post work was done in PSP8 on this image...I touched up some trees that didn't appear right to me after rendering it...I also added falling snow which was made and tubed by our very own Propschick...you can see her tubes at http://www.pcgraphicsolutions.com/freetubes.html The rest was done entirely in Bryce... The house is a freebie offered here at Renderosity. Thank you all for your comments and favorites on yesterday's post Mr. Snowman....I'll be offering my snowman as a tut here soon which will be available through Christmas. God Bless and Blessed Be!

A gorgeous, scenic work! (Michigan got said 'clipper' - First snowfall of 2007 - Four inches! WooHOO! (The 'title' of your upload makes me hear THE CARPENTERS singing that song. SO good. Saw them in person in the 70's at Western Michigan University Field House. I still think she had the 'purest' voice I've ever heard. Blessings to you and yours this season. GOOD HEALTH. My best, TallPockets.

This is definitely one of your better efforts...and you have a LOT of better efforts! The composition here is top notch, and your sense of rustic beauty/charm is evident here. I like the fact you've focused on snow but made the whole image warm and inviting. Just looking at it, I can imagine the smell of cookies in the oven, or a nice ham for dinner. It's that kind of image. Your trees are great as well, amid so many softer colors, the sharp definition of the tree trunks visible through the covered balcony area of the house are excellent. Your pine needles are excellent as well; you do great foliage. Just as an added though, I wonder how this image would look with the hint of Christmas wreaths in the windows. I'm just curious, you DON'T have to change this at all, since it works perfectly, but like I said, I'm nosy.

I like the tree on the right, it feels like it is in your face.

Ah, a white Christmas. I'm spending mine in a place where it doesn't snow, and your picture made me strangely homesick. I love the POV, the house appearing through the tree, haven to a weary traveler returning home. Beautiful and effective composition.
