Description

This image starts a new series for me, one where I hope to capture two or three images of the culture of each of the world's major religions. The series may play out gradually into my Renderosity gallery however, not posting all at once. Shinto is the native religion of Japan. This photo was taken in the Japanese Garden of Portland, Oregon in the summer of 1993 with an Olympus 35mm (years before I went digital). Special Note: Since this photograph was first published elsewhere several years before I began to mark my work with the windchimes, it may be seen elsewhere marked as copyrighted to Laura Gresham. However, beginning in 2007, I have altered the image to reflect the trademark of Windchime Photography. Also, yes, this image was submitted in last month's Genre Challenge; it did not place among the winners there, but I want to share it in my gallery anyhow.
