Description

What does Namaste mean? I found this definition by Mahatma Gandhi: In India when people meet and part they often say, Namaste' which means: "I honor the place within you where the entire Universe resides; I honor the place within you of love, of light, of truth, of peace; I honor the place within you, where, when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us." This is dedicated to my dear friend tabala who sent me the precious dynamic clothes and the jewellery used here today. The clothes are part of a project of tabala, Digital-Lion (Leo) and me: tabala created clothes like seen in Bollywood-movies and Leo and I created an indian character for Miki 2 named Sajjan. At the moment I'm rendering the thumbnails so she will soon be packed and send to the testers. The most amazing thing for me was that I had the word "Paisley" in mind since we started to work on Sajjan and I had to remind Leo on 80's fashion until he remebered this very special pattern made of drops filled with tiny ornaments. And as I made my choice on the material for the clothes I found that Kristina used Paisleys all over the skirt!!! There will be 9 color-themes with 3 variations each for mixing and matching - colorful and shiny like the dance scenes in Bollywood films. As you see: I'm floored! *LOL* More images of our new girl will follow, of course some without clothes and with brighter light to give an idea of skin and shape (Sajjan will come with custom morphed face and body). I'm aware that it is a no-no for a serious indian actress to pose nude - but we have to face the fact that this girl is made of polygons ;o) Technical: I used an old V3 pose and combined it with a partial arm-pose that will come with the Bollywood clothes to achieve the typical Namaste-gesture of the upper body. Very few postwork on one part of the scarf where a strand of hair poked through. The hair is the Evelyn Hair (RDNA) fitted with PhilC's new Wardrobe Wizard 2. I already loved WW (1) but this new version is what I dreamt of every time I used a figure that was either new or had few support. Everything (clothes, hair, props) except high heeled boots I converted for to Miki 2 fits perfectly - and I was able to keep movement morphs and such. The new version comes with a second stand alone version (cool for DS-only-users as you don't need to have Poser) and tons of supported figures (free for a limited time). At the moment it's less expensive and there is a special upgrade price for people who own the first version. So some of you may want to check it out at philc.net *No, this was not the WW2-advertising-block, it's just me in hog heaven because I was able to convert my favorite clothes and cr2-hair to Miki*

What a beautiful (and appropriate) dedication! The character is so lovely, and what fun to work on a character that can wear such colorful and gorgeous clothes! I am looking forward to more renders!

Love the overall look of the charcter. Thanks for sharing the meaning of namaste is very beautiful word by definition and it's use. Also I got to agree the WW2 is amazing piece of software and does save a bundle with all the free expansions you can add that support just about every figure and works well with morphs as well.

Beautiful character, pose, light and expression. The only negative aspect is the head clothe which looks a little bit static (Gravity seems to have no effect on it.) I know how difficult it is to let clothe flow as it should be :-)

sniff grasps a handkerchief Dear.... You floored me =) I am blown away Sajjan is a stunner! I hurried up with the cloth tutorial, but as I see You know even to handle the scarf in a perfect way ;) Wonderful render - and I am glad that You got the pack the right time to satisfy your "renderdesires" ^^ @hansklerk You mentioned the scarf looking stiff.. Well, as much as I seen traditional indian clothes are done even of cotton (the poorer people wear cotton clothes) or heavy indian / bourette silk. I tried to set up the cloth- and materialsettings a way to let the polygon clothes look as close as possible to nature ones. Even chinese silk flows not the way most people think. It wrinkles, yes, but it does not flow sheer. Satin offers all: sheerness and flow, but only the syntethic variation... You see- I have thought it over ;)
