Description
Captured 11/9/07 around 8:10 AM, about .50 of a mile/.805 kilometers from my dwelling.
I can't believe that this beautiful, narrow batch of pampas grass, which is usually found in large fields, was so close to home, situated by a street curb, and the only species like it growing within several miles.
On that note, have a terrific Thursday.

I adore pampas grass I used to grow in when I had a larger garden. I would bring it into the home later on and it would make a great arrangement in a large vase. I remember I would spray it with hair lacquer so that it wouldn't drop! I love this image and the way the light enhances the grass so much. Fantastic shot - hugs Jane xx

The light on those seed heads is just spectacular, and I love the POV! A most excellent shot, my friend. Pampas is an ornamental up here, and this is the way I see it growing all the time. Just one clump out in the corner of someone's yard. Seeing an entire field would be quite something! I've got a pampas photo ready to go. I'll post it soon so you can see how they grow up here in my neck of the woods.
