Description

I bet we all have one. A special Christmas ornament that we keep wrapped up in lots of tissue paper... right on top of all the others in a box that spends most of the year either in the basement or in the attic. Something passed down from our mother or our grandmother. An ornament that we handle with a little more care... and a little more awe... than the rest of our treasures. The one that gets a "front and center" spot in our holiday decor. For me, it's an old fashioned, hollow-sculpted ball that my grandmother used to hang on her tree. When I take it out of its paper nest, it always brings me memories of her... and of the few Christmas days I spent with her in my mother's girlhood home. My grandmother lived 800 miles away from us... but when I hold that ornament in my hand... she is standing right beside me... and I can envision her smile. Ultra Fractal... with the trees imported from Apophysis. I sincerely hope that all of you experience something special as you unwrap your way through those boxes of decorations and recall the happiness of holidays gone by... Thanks for everything... you guys and gals are very special to me... Hugs! Helen :)

I'm awed by your creative and technical skill - when you're inspired, the result inspires me.

Helen: This is colourful rich and delicate like our Christmas dreams and expectations. The mist of beauty hallowing those familiar treasured times at home with family and friends trees and the real story of Christmas Star over the little old stable and the infant within with the family and the animals. Treasures of our childhood recalled by your creative masterpiece bring the "little top to spin while bells ring" is in our china cabinet. It is 78 years old ! Your rings of our family would show,as yours and others too, broken from our losses! I hurry to read 'Chares Dickens' a Christmas Carol.

Awesome! I, too, have that special Christmas ornament. Actually, I have two that are priceless. They may not be the prettiest ornament, but they are, the most important. Thanks for taking us to that special place!

I am just moved by how lovely this is! I too have Christmas ornaments that are special. When my mother passed on, she have me a whole box of ornaments that she used to put on her tree. As a child I did not live with her, so these were apart of her and her joy of Christmas. A most Gorgeous image!

Wow!! This is so totally gorgeous. I love the colors, and the composition is wonderful. I was sitting here thinking about that ornament, but I don't have one yet. My mom is really into Christmas (it takes her one month to put up and two to take down) She has kept them all, but she decorates about three trees and the one that has my brother and I's handmade ornaments is in the basement and I always love looking at that tree. The bell my brother made with the acorns glue on it. The NOEL I needlepointed. Can't wait til they can be passed on to me. Thanks!!

So beautifully put together-THIS favorite will become a treasured treasure that I..-will keep as a special memory of a truly talented and special fractalist in a wonderland...far far away. Is so neat to know and hey... maybe...on some cold winters day! (unless SOME "Citch" should steal it away)

This is a beautiful ornament that you have created, and I loved your special ornament and memory that you shared with us. My daughter turns 40 in April. In Kindergarten she made a Christmas tree topper out of part of a toilet paper roll (for fitting over the top of the tree to hold it in place) a 3" yellow cardboard star with silver glitter outlining the edges. That has been our tree top ornament every year and it means the world to me. I also have a hand made Santa, made for my husband in 1944 by his great-great grandmother, with a handwritten note on a postcard about the making of it written by his mother.

all the images you create always have that very special touch to them, like the little trees in this one.. I can pick them out from a any amount of fractal images. They are all so very special. Hope you have a wonderful Chtristmas with everybody around you who mean so much to you.. and I am sure that are many.
