Description

could not spell the real name so I used a old work the common people used a long time ago. anyway I liked this shot for some reason. I took a lot of them but the movement of the hands messed them up then I got the right speed and light on this I had the camera on manul. I been learning to use manul for a month now. I have no light meter so I guessing. I price those light meters lol they high. I read reports that the on camera light meter is ok but it be better to get a light meter and do it manul. I do see some good on doing myself but then I flying by the seat of my pants thanks for looking and comments

Oh, man! I gotcha here... this is rich and I can hear the full steady tones in my head. The old squeezebox - one of the important pieces to a Louisiana band! washtub bass, squeezebox, fiddle, jug/spoons/washboard/"field guitar"/maybe mandolin if around/and sometimes a fine banjo... and a good toe-tap to round it out. Yeeeeeeeeeee-hah! love it! Great shot, Jock!

Just havin' a good old Cajun session here, folks! If I didn't know better, I'd say this squeeze box was some kind of accordion. Terrific lighting effects and silhouetting of the musician's hands and instrument, Jock!

beautiful instrument and reduced light capture.the trouble if you leave the lens open too long then the movement gets blurred.the last several days I have been shooting trees, but the wind has been blowing so much, it is hard to get a sharp focus

That came out very well considering that it was a new experiment for you. I can almost hear the music and tapping feet!

I used to use (in 1955) the little slip of paper that came with movie film to choose exposure settings. Then I got a video camera (in 1978)and just looked at the monitor. It does work. No meter can ever tell you better than your own eyes. (I had to pay extra for the little monitor. Standard was a little shadow box frame.)
