Description
Tachikoma Days, you will love them, you will adore them. These smart-assed wise guys from Ghost in the Shell - Stand alone complex/solid state society.
The model is completely done within Bryce and its Boolean operations, and that's a major pain in the behind. Cellshading with some reflections thrown in wich works rather well.
No post-work whatsoever, yup nothing at all.

Very cool. At first I really didn't like the Tachikoma but they really grew on me after awhile. I can only imagine modeling this guy in Bryce....a very dedicated effort on your part, and a great result!

Yes these guys certainly grow on you. A touching episode was Tachikoma Runaway, when one of the Tachikoma's (Batou's Tachikoma) escapes and wanders around the streets where he meets this girl that is looking for her lost dog. First part is rather hilarious when he/she blunders through town. Later he realises that the dog is not lost but dead and that the girls parents did not have the courage to tell her but that she knew it afterall. The Tachikoma can't comprehend death, but he does seem to understand sadness at separation. As the girls sleeps in the passenger section (the hindpart of the Tachikoma) during the drive back, the screens inside ponder "To be...not to be".

Tachikoma rule! It was great to see them back in the latest SAC. Outstanding model - extra hard work in Bryce. Your rendering really does it justice as well. Hope you will be posting some more of this guy.
