Description

Langkofel / Sasso Lungo (Dolomiti - Italy) at sunset. Doubted a long, long time about posting this. Finally decided! About the title: 'Enrosadüra' is a Ladini-word. Ladini is a Ret Romanesque language which evolved after Romanization from the commonly used Latin and regional language in this part of the Dolimites. The word refers to the reddish (is this correct English??) color, which sometimes appears during sunset on the pale mountains of the Dolomites. In German they say 'Alpenglühen'. Unfortunately I do not know if an English word exists for this spectacular eye-candy. Thanks for taking a look and enjoy your evening! Paul

First of all, yes, reddish is a perfectly good work, and I think the other word you're looking for is Alpenglow, which looks like a straight translation of the German. This is a very pretty shot. It could be somewhere in the American southwest, but then sunset is sunset. :-)
