Captured 10/28/07 at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base on the beautiful Los Alamitos Army Airfield in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
Just one of the many photos I snapped of the awesome individual changes and additions featured by autos in the classic car portion of the annual Wings, Wheels, Rotors & Expo show held at this facility.
The hood ornament was standard equipment during that period.
To the upper right sits a red and white 1956 Chevy Bel Air sedan.

Its a custom vented hood. The hood orniment was standard for the mid fifties. My parent's '55 had it.

I love these two cars side-by-side. That baby-blue '57 is gorgeous, and the red Bel Air is the perfect foil for it. There's something about this shot that just draws me in. Beautiful work, my dear!
