This is kind of a bitter sweet Christmas for the people of Regensburg. I hope there is something to replace the lost jobs. An unusal shot Valentine. Very well seen.

Great shot Valentin. Looking at the smoke and the clouds I can pretty much guess what kind of day it is. But after all the rain you are getting these clouds look like the sun may want to come through. Probably just wishful thinking. Sig..

one of those shots that can't be missed, as we can't miss the opportunity to stop and comment. Very emotional thoughts about the refinary closing, peoples lives !

I like this shot, Valentin. So few of us ever really look up, above our problems, to the sky. Then we can appreciate the problems of others. I was brought up in what is now an industrial 'wasteland'. The old steelworks, coal mines and heavy industry are gone. Precious few real jobs remain. Parts of Glasgow flourishes - a top shopping destination. It sells so many Chinese goods. I hope that Regensburg is not in the same position. So many wasted, unfulfilled lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all, wherever they are in the world. Keep well. Regards, John.
