Description

Poor Belgium ! >180 days (6 months !) without government... I don't want to comment further on the political situation in my country... Like Frieda, I just want to say : thumb_1563868.jpg "I LOVE BELGIUM" ! 0005.gif Rather, I'd like to dedicate this upload and Caesar's quote to the "Belgian artistic connection", which seems to be very well represented here at R'osity : FriedaFelicia, natalieb, olivier158, Jofurowa, Ptitchouette, Milouv, jcastel, marybelgium, francinechristophe, aegipan, Georges_H_Hoens, bonicki, bruelmcbeal, girsempa, cixiidae, creanum, nancyrose, pixelatorz, sisy2, Telgar, Lgium,... just to mention a few of my friends without forgetting my daughter (caro_gigi)and my dear Marie (Jomc )... So, indeed, "FORTISSIMI SUNT BELGAE" ! 0005.gif I took this picture last year in Berlin. A "Path of Visionaries" has been created at the southern end of the Friedrichstraße. This art project involved setting a total of 27 glass national plaques into the pavement. Each of these plaques bears the country's national flag, the name of its ambassador to Germany, and a revolutionary quote from a great European. A complete list of the quotes of all participating EU Member States can be found here, on the website of Kunstwelt e.V. Berlin, the organisation that initiated the project. Thank you very much for your comments on my previous upload : thumb_1578469.jpg "green vertigo"

Thank you for all your sweet words of late, Michel. I truly appreciate them...I think it's wonderful that you have shown support here for your fellow countrymen and that you have posted this memorial plaque. I was unaware of the turmoil your country is in. Thank you for sharing this...My best to you, mon amie. Hugs-M :^)

BRAVO !!!

No one here that I've asked (and I work in governmental affairs for my company, knows what is happening there. I know, marial law is not fun and without our government to hand out paychecks and welfare and pay for sr. health care and for getting crack-headed moms off the pipe and into rehab... well, we'd be in a real pickle. Bad enough when our politicians in this state can't settle on a budget and all services stop and government workers' families go hungry... So sorry for it all over there, whatever it might be.

It seems like the fallen leaves are telling us a story here... but eventually spring will surely come with good things for all of us. Whatever that may be. And as we Belgians have always been the bravest, we should not be afraid...;o)

Thank you for this little sympathic demonstration for the Belgians, the most brave under the Gallians. Nice pic, the autumns leaves brings live to the scenery. And thanks for your information about this art project, as a Berlinian Ive never heard about it. I will have a look at it in the next times.
