Description

Another one of the many scenes captured 10/28/07 of the classic car portion of the annual Wings, Wheels, Rotors & Expo show held at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base on the beautiful Los Alamitos Army Airfield in beautiful Los Alamitos, California. So, who needs pics of flora, animals, people, sunsets, snow, etc., when you've got this? Even the few individuals out there who hate renovated/restored auto stuff will have to admit this is a beauty. Actually, I could have titled this, Above and below the hood, because, as you can see, a rectangular hole was cut in the hood/bonnet to accomodate the upper section of the engine; skull, crossbones, et al. Sorry, but I can't recall the year of this model Chevrolet. Tallpindo should know, though. Better viewed full size. Have a stimulating day/night.

Another good one Harry! This engine so bright and shiny, it looks like brand new.I am sure the proud owner was wiping it every here and there. That skull is unreal.

I would first focus on the Gilmer belt drive and note that it has prolifereated to OEM and the factory including motorcycle final drive. Then I would note this looks like a 4-71 GMc blower not a 6-71 and it is on a rat though wether a crate rat or not I don't know. Then I finally could come to your handoff and say the way the fender line has that squarish dip it isnt first generation and it isn't 80's. I would say 2nd gen. The one with the headlights like a Vega and the longer rear pulled out like a 50's Italian car. A year? I met the girl on the beach in 1982,summer. Hers was Navy with a custom saddle brown on the rocker and probably used. I do like the MSD ignition package on the firewall. They seem to have taken over from Joe Hunt and Vertex.
