Bare with me on my dribble to give you all a background to my photo.....
24 years ago I thought I had met the man of my dreams, I was 17 and he was 18. We spent 3 great years together, we loved, we fought, we cried, we lived. He was in the army and they sent him away on me and over the years we lost all contact, I tried to look for him and him me, but our lives took different paths. Over the years each of us never forgot about what we had together and our friendship. About 3 years ago, I get this phone call and someone asking for me, I knew the voice straight away and we spent hours on the phone catching up. Our whole lives unfolded in that one phone call. We are both still the same as we were all those years ago, he is married with children now and I have my life...but after 24 years, we are still best friends and confide in each other with our problems and life in general and both have a place in our hearts for each other permanently....
We often think what might have been.....

I think we all have those "what ifs", they're poignant, sometimes heartbreaking, but they are so very real. Life does go on, one way or another!!

I can't really comment. Been in that situation and at some point things can change. For good or bad, things can change. The photos are good and the memory can be read in them. I'm glad you have this time together after so long.

Awwww sweetheart, sorry to hear what happened! I am a people lover with lots of passion and this hurts me to hear about what happened. I hope you are ok now though. and so unfortunate about the separation that was forced :( take care ok, and may write me anytime you like :-) :::hugsss::: happy that you guys stay in touch though! very cool photo, it is nice enough for me!

What an amazing story, and got me thinking about years ago in my life and loves that I lost, but life does move on and we often do take different paths away from those that were once so close.
