This is the second character I designed for my friends Marvel RPG game (see the previous post for the first). History: Eli Harmon grew up in an affluent neighborhood and attended the best schools. He excelled at many academic pursuits and even obtained a black belt in Kem Po karate but his true passion was rap music. However, a skinny white kid from the suburbs didn't earn him much "street cred" and his rapping skills just weren't that good. Every appearance he managed to book failed miserably. He began to associate himself with various street gangs and ran afoul of local law enforcement on several occasions. However, he thought he finally found a place to fit in and didn’t mind the few weeks he spent in juvie. His world came crashing down on him when he learned that his new-found “friends” were only setting him up to be the scapegoat for their latest crime spree. After another two months in juvenile detention, the judge warned him that because he was nearing his 18th birthday, if he was caught again, he would be tried as an adult. Eli learned his lesson and vowed to go straight. He plunged his life back into making rap music. Hoping to increase his chances by at least looking the part, Eli risked one last crime and broke into his high school physics lab. With the help of his lab partner (see Halcyon), he conducted some experiments that he hoped would turn his skin black by reflecting certain wavelengths of light particles away from his skin and absorbing others. The experiment (aided by Halycon’s own powers) was a success. However, it had many unintended side effects. Taking up his rapper name of MC Squared, Eli took to the streets to use his newfound powers as a vigilante superhero. Most of his actions to this point have been preventing low level street crime that occurs outside of some of the clubs that he MCs at. ********************************** Comments and suggestions appreciated!
