Hi Guys...
I'm RGUS, a 3D artist from New Zealand hence the Kiwi Avatar.
I've been using Poser since 2004 and recently begun to use DAZ Studio.
Originally I used the render engines bundled with the base software and it was not until Octane was available did I change engines. I believe iRAY, now supplied with DAZ Studio, does a very good job. However, my development has stayed with Octane since I use both Poser and Studio with Octane for each as the main render engine.
Enjoy!

Based on the title I thought this would be something different, nice image none-the-less.

The lighting is really perfect here (and so is the girl), awesome pic.

The HDR Lighting pack does look good! However, your choice of pose, camera angle and arrangement is what makes the image we want to see! Also, a beautiful Spartan girl character you have created.

Oh, this would explain why I don't see many V3 renders anymore;-) The quality of the light in this one is wonderful!

Fantastic lighting!!!

That is a nice illustration.. thank you for the credits Deane, you should try to put some textures on the floor sometimes and see the effect what the light will do.. the shadows looks always different on white background or ground or shadow catcher that produce shadows without any color... only using the ground plane without shadow catcher will generate the right balance between the shadows and light... and you know , art cost time and I know this is a pain to change the diffuse color all the time but as always it is much more quicker as rendering using GI ;)... Noooo, don't shave your legs that way!!! ...giggle I couldn't resist. Those are some very nice shadows, for sure. I like the way the pots turned out, too. They look very real with nice contour shadowing. So you know I have to ask - there can be only one of what? Gillette razor? Schick Ultra? Norelco Triple head. :) Bye, Deane!

Gorgeous1 I love your props, too.

Nice render. I can understand why you do not often get excited, it can lead to some embarrassing moments, especially if you are wearing tight pants or close dancing with your best friends wife...lol
