I did this painting of Felix,
For my friend, Ilona (Vlaaitje)
Who wanted to print it out on canvas
And give it to her friend for Christmas.
Felix is getting older and looks like he
has been a wonderful friend.
Some of my most loyal and loving friends
are animals.
Credits: This is one of my -Special Pets-series, created in Photoshop CS, using a photo of Felix by Ilona (Vlaaitje), painting techniques, and a background by Placebo. The original is quite large, 24inches x 20 inches.
I have been super busy getting my art ready for a gallery showing and am finally finished. I am featuring my-Spirit of the Wild- series. It has been a lot of work, but also very rewarding to see some of my images out of the computer, printed and framed.
It is beginning to look a lot like Xmas around here, with snow on the ground, giant icicles hanging from the eves, and flocked pine trees everywhere. Mother Nature has done a beautiful job of decorating the outside. Now all I have to do to get ready for the holidays inside is ---everything!

Ugh, tell me about it, I can't believe it's already almost Christmas. v.v;; So much to do, so little time. Felix is adorable. Is he a mustang?
