Description

Ive amended some of the roughness & scales to the FG that creates the terrain, taking onboard gratefully welcomed comments from my past post. In addition Ive reworked the mats, ambient light & altered the suns position a tad. I`ve also created some better brushes to work with. I particularly like the Purple/Pink/Red plants. Minor floaters removed but all of the veg work is post-work. As always comments welcomed. I still think theres room for improvement in the terrain & Ive yet to workout how to postwork shadows :( TFV&C (FSV Recommended) Wºz™

Yes, I like this vege even better (much easier and effective then MWT, huh:) I think the strata texture is a bit too intense, especially on the right (the wider spacing between the strata layers would look more realistic). Still it`s very very good isosurface.

Thx for the commenst so far. @ Slav, yes your right the strata is too intense & its what Im working on. At current the 2 surfaces (from Alex & Shaun) are inputting a Min Node in the FG, but I tyhink that better results maybe obtainable by using either an Average, Add or Subtract. I also want to tio try & introduce some more vertical distortion into the strata, but my thanks goto both the guys for sharing the basis:) Thx for your comments Slav, always welcomed! I have a revised terrain rendering atm.

I like the enhanced detail of the isosurface, more photo-like to me. Vegetation is spot-on, despite sans-shadows, good scale overall. Well done.

Great stuff. One of the most convincing volumetric isos i've seen combined with vege.

The bottom of this image where the water meets the shore lacks the realism of the rest of the image. Maybe cropping an inch off the bottom? But all-in-all a very impressive render. Excellent post-work too!

Coming along nicely. I know that's not very helpful, but time and practice will win out in the end. You have the skills for sure. I'll give it a 5.
