Yes, you are right in my gallery and your eyes are okay, it's an elf - and I did it! And I added a background picture! Stay calm, I'm still myself *LOL*
I have to blame this to rebelmommy and Ilona&Bez, Lillith and the moonlit background where just too alluring - I had to use them. This is made for the girlfriend of my son, she loves elves and so she gets this as a poster for christmas (and I hope that she doesn't get the time to have a look here until then!). Making something completely different was fun and kind of a challenge to see if I'm rusted or if I'm still able to leave my used paths and walk into a different direction.
Technical:
Lots of postwork! I rendered a version with hair and one without, used the eraser on all those strands and then painted the "exploded pillow" hairstyle over the base I've got. The magic trail and the background where added in postwork, too. Some fun with screen- and overlay-layers made the image complete to be printed out.
The light is from the new set by Corvas (cool!) and mixed with some Encore points.
The dynamic shawl is from the starlight dress for Miki (RDNA).

There's nothing wrong with elves, and there's nothing wrong with background pictures, it's how you USE THEM that matters, and here I think you've used them well. Excellent work!
