There are always a few who are over the top; I have one right down my street. But I guess it's the season and sounds like these people at least do some good. Very nice shot, Mick!!

Thanks for sharing this! In Berlin we have some places with these houses, too...People come away dozens of kilometers, to have a look, and the local TV station reports about. These maniacs live the whole year only for Christmas and think about new attractions in spring, summer and autumn... Do they have a special contract with the regional power plant?.....LOL German Christmas is normally not so full of colors, but in the last years we have american and asian influences here. Try to catch the christmas spirit in these days, but nothing gets right... I risk a nervous breakdown.

Excellent picture. How do they keep from blowing a fuse. If we use the blow dryer and the wall heater at the same time we trip a breaker...lol... :) Todd

We used to have one just down the road from my house Mick, but I think they have moved, there is nothing at all there this year. He had the roof covered as well, tons of lights. Excellent capture and I'm glad I'm not paying their electricity bill. Bravo!!!!!

Good heavens! You would think they'd have a lot to do for the holiday other than change burnt out bulbs. LOL. I would have to forgo presents under the tree to pay for all this electricity!

I think yes it's a good night photo. But the subject even if it for charity it to over the top. With global warming just think how much power they are using. I can think of far better ways the raise money for charity. I would hate to live opposite them.
