Description

Hello.....I wanted to try something a little different this time. I really like the way the terrains turned out...almost volcanic, I guess. Rendered in Vue 5. I tried rendering it in Vue 6 but the lighting wasn't quite the same. I'm still trying to adjust to the differences. The stone steps were made with Silo, and the vegetation was made in xfrog 3.5. Thanks for looking!

It is very different and I like it, the transition between Vue5 and Vue6 does take some getting used to just remember to go to the light tab and reduce the sunlight if need be and also remember to reduce shadow depth :)

Very cool! Yes, the terrain looks very volcanic - impressive! YOur plants are excellent as always! The image does look a little 'over-exposed' - as Rob2753 suggested, try turning down the light intensity somewhat. I really like this concept of entering into the Earth - well done!

Yes, I like the rock work very much. Not sure if I care for the red in the steps, though; but still a render that--are you ready?--ROCKS! Ha! Hope you and your loved ones have a great holiday season and coming new year, Frank.

hei, i really like the overall of your style, so that's why I'll be a bit more critical with this one.I don't like the main wall, it looks like a bad displacement case, the image is too overexposed in my view, but overexposed in not a happy way... the composition of the big plants bothers me somehow. now for the good part:) the rocks stand as they should and look almost ok; i like the composition of the ground-cover plants, looks natural. a word of advice(please bear with it, it's almost Christmas)... please, render out your images in a larger resolution - there are some I'd really like to see the details from... also, by doing that you'll see which of your images lack detail or composition points... All the best and all the luck...

For me, I like the "overexposed" look - makes the terrain look hot and deserty. Seems to fit with the deathliness of the (awesome, by the way) rock formations and the plantlife as well. Such a realness in the terrain, and love the tiny hint of color in the little flowers scattered throughout. I agree with kier 99 (always a keen observer and an articulate commenter) about the red on the stairs. But this is a great effort in your transition between Vue5 and Vue6.
