My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wow. This blue sweet pea is a first for me, too! Lovely capture!

Beautiful shot, I love the colors too!

That sure looks like a butterfly to me, with those translucent veined wings, but the resemblance ends there with that portly body. In any event, I really like the soft colors and fragility displayed in this sweet pea flower. Great clarity in this macro, Tara!

That is one beautiful sweet pea! You sure did a great job of photographing it for us. As a child my mom and I always grew sweet peas and I love them to this day, so thanks for the wonderful memory of my mom.

Would you believe I still have sweet peas blooming out on my deck??? It's been freezing and we've had snow on them and still they keep coming?? But I've never seen a blue one like this? It's just gorgeous!!!!!!

What a rare color for a flower. Rather turquoise blue on my screen. Wonderful little flower that could look a little like a Lathyrus. Just not the right time for that to be. Gorgeous shot it is.

I've seen blue and white and blue and pink but never one totally blue before. My wife loves her sweet peas and always has some strung up along the fence, I must take more note of them this next year. The veining is great reminds me of lungs, how its positioned. Fantastic macro Tara, excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Oh my goodness... what a wonderful closeup shot of this sweet pea. I loved the ones my mother grew when I was little, but I don't think I ever looked real close. This is lovely!
