Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This is a fantastic shot. I love the spider-like figure, especially since it COULD be a sculpture, OR a plant...or virtually anything at all. I love it when pictures have that quality, and the sense of color here is utterly fantastic! It's quite a pleasure to look at.

Sculpture is great. But I think, imoh, that you exagerated a bit with the saturation/hue filter.

Excellent picture. I don't like spiders or things that look like spiders. They creep me out! ...... :) Todd

Great shot of this unusual sculpture Marilyn, I can see the title is spot on. When the image came up at first all I could see was the two giant legs and it was only as I scrolled down I realised it was a sculpture. Excellent capture and presentation. Bravo!!!!!

I know a lady welder that makes sculptures that are sold all over the US and her stuff is very modernistic like this

Looks like he found a use for his lot that the neighbors can enjoy.

An unmaintained myriad of grasses and weeds dominate this scene along with the sculpture. The sculpture reminds me a little bit of the esoteric pod launching device in the movie, CONTACT. In any case, definitely nothing to sit on! Love the barren tree, and, by cracky, I do detect pampas grass among the foliage!

It looks alien! Great capture!!!
