Description

Well the first part of the journey was simple, with a pass from the king of Armin the Duke sailed on one of Arminâ??s war ships, as far as The Inward Islands. It was here where he learned that the Island of Woe was just a fairy tale, a fable of superstitious sailors. It was suppose to lay some where on the other side of the Titan Pillars, which was the furthest south that any sailor ever sailed, and returned to talk about . It took him a month to find a merchant ship willing to go looking for the legendary Island; it also cost him a large chunk of his familyâ??s wealth. They were a month out of The Inward Islands and half way to the Titan Pillars, when the first of the foretold perils took place, the ship was attacked by a giant octopus. The fight was long and bitter, with the octopus nearly capsizing the ship. The young Duke found his life being saved several times by one of the female passengers, who had signed on for her own reasons. The attack ended as quickly as it had begun, there was no clear victor, as it seemed the Giant Octopus just gave up interest in the battle, and sank back into the sea. To this point the young Duke had kept to himself, not mingling with the others aboard ship. Now he paid more attention to the two female sisters that had fought beside him against the Octopus. He learned that they were sisters, and adventurers who were going along to the Fabled Island in hopes of treasure. He had not thought much of women or sex since the death of Cherri, but Claire the woman that had saved him roused that within him that had been dead these past years.
