Description

The future… Chicago is no more. The few remaining inhabitants gather paper, mostly computer print outs full of recorded corporate profits and greed. In the shadow of the Sears Tower they burn these documents to cook the feeble remnants of food they find. Occasional fights break out because, only the strong survive…, yet even the strong grow weaker by the minute. This once mighty hub of transportation, commerce, industry and agriculture is no more…. it lives on only in legend…. Sorry for the doom and gloom around the holidays. I posted this to remind us…. All of our hopes, dreams and loves could be gone in an instant. We should strive to make each moment special, each minute a joy. If only…. with each breath we take we could exhale a prayer of thanks for this wondrous gift of life, we might finally be worthy of it. Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring you peace and happiness Mark Edwards

Full marks for originality, something that can be lacking a bit in the TG galleries sometimes. I love the apocolyptic theme, and the actual image is quite stunning !

Wow- this gives new meaning to "urban blight"- I agree with Bob; this is too close to home for comfort. Awesome terrain work to create this destroyed metropolis. Excellent!
