I just couldn't resist this signpost in Buttermere. It just looks so 1940's. :-) -------------------------------- Original Photograph: 22-Mar-2005

This was always confusing when wanting to travel the B5289, never knowing which way to go. Should I go left and experience the beautiful rolling hills rising majestically to dramatic peaks that overshadow crisp fresh waters of glorious lakes finaly leading to borrowdale and promise of tea and scones followed by a honey roast ham or other suculent evening meal... or do I go right and experience the beautiful rolling hills rising majestically to dramatic peaks that overshadow crisp fresh waters of glorious lakes ending up at the windfarms and western seafront of Cockermouth taking in the glorious salt air eating a packed lunch and drinking tea or coffee................ah, decisions decisions..... So many memories in that one shot Kev. :-)
