Description

3dsmax 9 + Vray, minimal brightness correction in Photoshop. Goal was to achieve photorealism, yet only worked on this scene 2 days from scratch to completion. I also love San Francisco so that explains the background. ;) Does the flower look weird? What is missing in this space to make it cozier ? Is the lighting too harsh / cold ? I had trouble filling the apartment with light, and I think this is why the light doesnt look that warm ? ... Comments & crits welcome, thx! :) This is my 2nd image upload.. Please see my other image too :)

Quite impressive. I think you maybe should have used an hdri background to acheive better lighting though, and yes the flower does look a little strange. It took only two days? are they all you own models aswell?

The models arent mine, those are from Evermotion libraries. The KITCHEN i did model tho, everything, from scratch. And HDRI is interesting!.. Thx for that, its time to look into HDRI ;) I love those types of comments, as they help me improve the technique, so crits welcome guys... ;)

Yes, you Acheived your goal of Photorealism is Exquisite and Wonderful Piece of Work!!! If you want to make it Cozier try a few wall hangings, picture or those little abstract type hangings, heck even an Oriental or Indian rug. I like the floor, maybe just a tiny bit of reflection to simulate a Varnish finish, but I still like this whole image very much. Splendid piece of work!!! Merry Christmas!!!!! 5++

This is very well done for a couple of days work. Just a few things to watch out for - the header panel above the fridge looks like its part of the fridge, it could do with a small gap between them. The wood texture on the chairs at the table would be better rotated to match the texture on the couch, to maintain continuity. Also the feet of the couch and chairs are going under the rug, not sitting on top. The background works great in these shots, and the overall feel is excellent, top work!!!
