Description

It started as a promo for legwraps which I'm doing as a freebie with strong hope to release it despite current UV tragedy. So, I made a character who could use those legwraps and don't look too weird. This idea overlapped with idea to continue battle mage pictures and the result got turned into light test where I tried to work with smooth gradient change from green to red. Pretty curved way to make a picture but I'm actually very happy with result :P This guy's name is Dardha Satto, he is a thiefling of uncertain parentage, a military warlock with specification of sniper and a reputation of former criminal even if no one can prove it (the warlock just smirks if asked). At the picture he can be seen in fort of Closed Gates checking his new rifle staff before some mission. Thank you all for viewing and comments :) *Technical notes for those who interested* Hiro 3 with Netherworks A3 face morphs (which are working just fine with Hiro) and Hiro Body morphs + a bit my Critters (free pack here at Renderosity) This is a multipass render, so with one hand there is a lot of postwork like layering separate passes and adjusting them + applying background, but with other hand almost nothing else is changed - just special effect on staff is postworked into the picture. There are four light sources: two of them are visible (staff, torch) and two of them (torches)are not but still influence the picture. All lights are done with wonderful UberPoint by Omnifreaker (DAZ), one pointlight per place + one usual distant red light; a bit soft raytraced shadows were used for all of them. There are about 4 DFormers to cover pokethroughs Clothes are: Wakamusha Martial Arts (trousers)(DAZ), Tunic Pack (boots)(DAZ), Nagase (coat)(DAZ), J'Quil Taio for H3 (shirt)(DAZ), Necklace from Barbarian Lord for Freak (DAZ), free feather tassel from RDNA (I think but not sure), and my legwraps which hopefully will end up as freebie somewhere. Pose is mostly my own. Free Background by Genefleeman (Renderosity) Also Dreamlight`s multipass tutorial for SLP helped a lot. Critical and non critical comments are welcome :) Just one thing - I wanted him to step out of frame a bit so this piece of picture is intentional.

Ok,that is a fantastic Daz render, and the multipasses were well worth the time! Love the lighting and thanks for sharing the techniques with us. The textures also came up beautifully and good luck with the leggings - they look just fine from here :) I think most of us (me included!) would have thought Legwarmers = girls in lycra = music video and done an image accordingly, so thanks also for stepping out of the frame yourself ;)
