The artist is not a person endowed with free will who seeks his own ends, but one who allows art to realize its purposes through him. As a human being he may have moods and a will and personal aims, but as an artist he is 'man' in a higher sense - he is 'collective man,' a vehicle and molder of the unconscious psychic life of mankind. (Carl Jung, Psychology and Literature, 1930)

One matter confuses me. I notice the words on the balls (bas-relief?) and braille-like patterns (haut-relief). On the reflection top left the letters are crisp (but too far to read). On the rows of reflections (top and bottom right) I see only patterns, and they seem to protrude further than on the foreground balls. (Am I wrong in taking the background balls for reflections of the foreground ones?) Judging from the foreground balls, I find the letters and patterns interfere. I would prefer either to both. Do continue your quest, and show us! :-)
