Description

Something I'm planning on contributing to the FlightGear project. (Will also show up as a free stuff item eventually - since it'll be released under GPL v2 anyways..) Modeled in Wings3D and rendered in Bryce5. Just needs some more work on the instruments and interior. Maybe throw in some additional UV textures to boot.

I hate UV textures. I prefer real needles and radium numbers in my steam guages. A BD5-J along with a Super Pinto and a Folland Gnat were maybe what brought Sam Willims to have an argument in front of my desk at UTC-GPD Palm Beach Gardens one day in the early 80's. A small jet that a pilot can actually fly successfully, C-o-oo-ooo-oo-l!

That bird looks promising. Please post pics of the further construction. I stumbled into the FlightGear developer page the other day - really seems worth to be checked out.

The moving parts on the guages are modeled on this one. Just textures for the faceplates (since the real ones are usually silkscreened, aren't they?) and for the livery/paint job on the aircraft skin. (Seems to be at least a dozen patterns I've seen that could be fun to have on this one.)
