Description

I was parked here, waiting for the train to go by, and saw some graffiti coming up - so I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures as the train went by. The sky was boring ... so I changed the sky. That took hours of trying to figure out a tutorial that just didn't jive with me. (When it said "now you should have 3 layers" .. I only had two. :-| ) So finally I was about to quit when I thought I'd try my own way of thinking on how it should work. And, Omg, it worked. I couldn't believe it. It worked. My way was so much easier. Wow .. I still haven't gotten over this yet. I wanted to try out a selective coloring technique as well, so I've incorporated that in as well. Hope you enjoy. Shari

Cool shot, and I love the postwork. Great sky! I always think all those layers are a bit cumbersome, too. I glaze over.

These graffiti artists amaze me with the graphics they make. No, I do not appreciate them doing it but the "artwork" is sometimes quite surprising. Well done photo and the desat on the bg works well here.

You did it in your way, that's the most important because you did it like you felt it. Very nice postwork. I did some myself and I know it's not quite easy and it takes hours to get a good result.

Great post work and you did well. Despite the skies being mono colored, it still makes for a dramatic back drop. I am proud of you, keep putzing!

Some graffiti can look good, in the right place, now this to me is the right place, it turns a boring old rail waggon into something colourful and interesting. I think they should let the graffiti artists run wild in the marshalling yards but only on the goods waggons and health and safety would have to be the rule of the day. Excellent capture Shari, I don't like this type of graffiti usually, but as said above this is the right medium for this style. What are you like, I sometimes drive with my camera on my lap, shhhhhh don't tell. Fantastic postwork, worked a treat. Bravo!!!!!
