Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great shot! I love the richness of the berries here! Fantastic! It's gotta be a great experience to go walking around with a machete!

We used to pick blackberry's with my mother, when we were kids. Then would make homemade blackberry ice cream in those old crank, ice and salt freezers. Excellent picture. Todd

How amazing, to find berries this late in the year! I hope you didn't really eat them - they couldn't have been very good. bleck I can see you tromping about with your machete, my intrepid friend! :)

Christmas berries.. Strange climate this year. :)

How exotic is that? Picking Blackberries on Christmas Day. It's beyond belief, in this country anyhow. Fantastic capture Marilyn, it must be warm where you are. Still now snow here instead it's cold raining and misserable. I am not having wild Blackberries for after my tea/dinner, instead I'm having Blackberry jelly/jello with fresh whipped cream. Bravo!!!!!

The blackberries where you are, are some of the best I've ever had. I think because of the cooler temps in the fall and the sea air over the mountains. I always try to get my berries from up that way. Great shot.

Very cool shot of it Marilyn and very smart to bring gloves!! I hope they tasted real good to you! and that is cool your machete found you some nice ones hehe =]

Splendid colors, clarity and textures in this berry good capture of the sumptous berries, which appear virtually jam or jelly at this point. Hope they tasted delightful after all that strenuous stomping through the foliage. Incidentally, the leaf in back is in an advanced stage of disrepair.
