Description

The forest near to where I live is varied in vegetation, but has a lot of scots pines also. I was there today, braving the winds(!!) and once we'd got past an area of pines, we came upon one of my favourtie places - Brocton Coppice which is an ancient oak woodland. The old oaks are wonderfully gnarled and twisted, some split down the middle, others with big holes in their trunks. I adore being there and I'll do my 'artistic impression' of that place at another time - today, this is much how a lot of Cannock Chase looks - complete with deer :-) Hyston Copse doesn't exist....that's just a name I made up !! Thanx 4 peekin
