Oh, those are beautiful antennae! Are they articulated, as the Enterprise ones were? (The Andorians were my favorite TOS race; I've been largely unhappy with the incarnations they've gone through over the years, although Enterprise probably had the second-best design---if it weren't for the visible ears.) As for the image itself, as usual, you have beautiful composition and lighting. We newbies can learn a great deal studying what you and many of the artists have done.

KTaylor, why didn't you tell me you posted this render? I might have been able to comment before now. Say, you got the antennae to blend better with the skin tones than I did in my initial experiments. Did you apply a "swatch" of the skin texture to the "deelie boppers"? Thalek, alas, my simple meshes are as static as the original Fred Phillips "rubber coated thread spools" used in "Journey to Babel". In other words, no, they are not rigged to wriggle. If I've read your comment correctly, we may have the same views about the antennae. Before we saw the various later interpretations which revealed humanoid ears in addition to the antennae, I had assumed the antennae WERE the auditory organs. The original "mop top" wigs were just a convenience to hide the performers real ears. Anyway, I'm flattered you used them in a publicly posted render. That's why I offered them. Sincerely, Bill
