Description

This image took over 26 hours to render at 1200x1200px. The reason? That globe in her hand has a pointlight in the middle of it. Even with the shadows on that pointlight turned off it still took forever.

26 hours? Hard to wait through a render that long, sounds like raytraced spots. For what it's worth the image turned out very nice, that magic effect looks fantastic.

Yup, it was really hard. I wanted to kill it off a number of times cause I thought it had actually crashed out. Really glad that I didn't in the end though. I wish it was due to Raytraced shadows but I actually was using the deep shadowmaps instead. Thanks shotgung0d, I'm really happy with it myself. And yeah, the magic has come up a treat.

beautiful image, and excellent touch of magic! I'm not sure I would have been able to wait out a 26 hour render though, lol. But I'm glad you did, awesome work.
