Description
A sequence I made at a competition called "The Russian Ring" a few weeks ago. It was real fun to watch, especially when some of the dogs refused to attack, even thought they had been trained. One of them ran up to the guy with an offer to play awile... I have noticed dogs are getting less and less aggressive. Trainers say that it takes nore and more effort to make some dogs get angry... Hope we are going to experience the same tendency in the coming 2008 and beyond. Happy new Year to all. Nikolay

there need be no anger at all for an attack dog to perform,in fact...it's preferred the animal remain level-headed during all stages of pursuit/attack/yield.....my two cents is in because I like the action shots and I'm jealous of the suit the guy's wearing....I have to make due with layers of parkas stuffed with news paper.

Fabulous series of shots Nik! My German Shepherd dog used to protect me exactly the way this one looks in your photo, when someone she didnt know moved to fast towards me she would pick up her guard and stand her ground for me...they make fabulous family pets and guard dogs, I am thinking of getting another now my old girl has passed away, miss her so much, but you do need to have the time to spend with them to train them as they are big dogs and do what comes naturally to them!
