Description

Thank you for your comments on my White posting. This picture is taken yesterday in the Beekse Bergen (wild life centre) nearby a city called Tilburg. A horse was killed by a buffalo. The carcase of the horse was given to the lions. Some scavengers like this one, a starling, took their chance...not a pleasant sight I know, but hey this is nature isn't it ? The light conditions were very poor and I had no tripod with me and no proper flash light available so I think you can imagine what I had to do. The photo also is taken through a window pane which is not a good thing.. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! thumb_1588922.jpgInnocent

looks like this Starling is having a holiday feast, I agree it's not the most pleasant image to look at but it is nature, you've captured life and death in this shot well done!!!

Starlings are one of the smartest looking birds, like Cockney barrow boys.

Food glorious food. Only vegans and vegetarians should find this disturbing. I like how the carcass frames the shot, well spotted mate.
