Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

Myron gives this shot nice scale as to the immensity of this crater. Now that's a hole in the ground!! Happy New Year to you my friend, and I hope you have many happy and safe adventures again this year!! Aloha~

I'm pleased no one was injured in the making of this shot. It is a neat looking cone.

How cool, I think that would be awesome to see in person. Your shot is fantastic though, it shows off the beautiful colors of the volcano.

Man, this just looks so desolate! The red in this shot just shines out because there's no other color to compete with it. I'm sure it would be very tempting to crawl up to the edge and look in, but I'm glad you stayed back. We'd hate to lose you, my friend. Mahalo and aloha.

Having Myron in the picture helps give perspective of the monumential size of these openings to the underworld. :0) Awesome shot!

Seems like you're all just far enough away. Wouldn't want to get too close though, although a shot down the hole would be really cool.
