Description
My beloved cat Lucia, who was my best friend, and my baby, passed away gently on 1 January. She had been with me for about 13 years; she introduced herself to me as a stray kitten in Verona, Italy, and once she decided to move in with me, we traveled together to Turkey, Germany, and here in England. She added so much that was good to my life; humor, tenderness, laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love. We spent hours sitting together, and she loved to sit on my computer mousepad or lay across my arms while I was on computer, and I always saw her lovely little face in the window when I came home.
Lucia became ill quite suddenly in the last couple of months and we thought we lost her about 4 weeks ago, but she had a strong will, and wanted to come home, and so I had a few more weeks and precious days to spend with her. Of course it's never enough. I am so grateful that she chose me to be her person, and I'm amazed at the amount of love and affection there was in that little body and that amazing spirit and soul. I am heartbroken and devastated, and I will miss Lucia every day of my life.

Yes, it is hard to explain to some folks just how important these "Beans" (Beings) are to those of us whom they love so fully. I share your loss; I still miss my Frankie, who died five years ago.

I am so sorry about Lucia, is it not wonderful how animals know the person for them, I too had an identical looking cat when I first got married named phantom, he was our first baby boy, we took him everywhere, yours and mine were both well traveled and well loved :) Angela

So sorry to hear this sad news Christie. We have just been adopted by a little stray. We call him mouse because he is so quite. He is about 3 months old, long orange hair. He was less than 2 pounds when he moved in and now about 3 weeks later is doing very well. Of course my 9 year old Michou is not so amused at this addition ;} Take care, Christie
