Description
Hi Guys,
Happy New Year to all. I got a nice new H Alpha Filter for a Christmas Present this year. Unfortunately, the only day with no clouds was the evening of Christmas Day itself so I went out, set up all my gear and played with my new pressie.
This picture is a white light picture, separated into Blue, Green and Red components, the red was discarded, and replaced with a picture taken through my new H Alpha filter (blocks out all light except light emitted by Hydrogen [The alpha line in the Lyman series]). There, I showed off the fact that I am a terminally infected geek.
20 images (white light) and 20 images (H Alpha light) compbined with Nebulosity (Stark Labs) and post processed using PaintShop Pro.
Enjoy. And for those of you on the East coast of USA, we will have a complete lunar eclipse on Feb 20th this year. Keep EVERYTHING crossed that there are no clouds and it is warm all evening. I have already writen to the Weather Channel and demanded a clear night as compensation for all the tax I dutifully pay.
